Baldocchi Remodel

The old living room felt a little oppressive and dated with its low-ceiling and not much outside light; the owners wanted to give it a contemporary feel and lighten it up. The existing ceiling was removed, posts and beams were added for structure, and the space opened up by vaulting the ceiling in the shape of the hip roof. Two skylights were introduced as well for natural daylighting. Much improved!
