McKenzie Bridge Shop

A few acres along the upper McKenzie River near Horse Creek seemed like a perfect spot to build a homestead, but first they needed a shop. Essentially the “Phase I” of the overall project, the building will consist of a big work area for parking of a tractor and other equipment, alongside an attached, small and cozy, dwelling unit; this way, the owners can live and work on site while contemplating and eventually undertaking “Phase II” of constructing the main house. The ambitious and eco-sensitive owner-builders plan on using their own milled lumber from sustainably harvested logs, along with many other sustainable construction materials and methods, in the construction of their new digs.
