David Minor Theater

An AIA Oregon People’s Choice Award-winning project, the David Minor Theater was envisioned as an expanded home for one of Eugene’s most original local institutions. Organically grown in the heart of the city, the theater brought its pioneering spirit to a more central downtown location through the adaptive reuse of an old warehouse. The design included four stadium-seating theaters, one home-style theater, a seasonal outdoor projection space, and food and beverage service for more than 300 people. With first-run movies, independent films, cult classics, special interest and foreign films, documentaries, local events, Netflix gatherings, and sports parties, the project celebrated the idea of a movie theater as more than a place to watch films — it was designed as a lively community gathering place with a full bar, full menu, and a distinctly Eugene personality.
