Whiteaker Studios

Whiteaker Studios began as an old, empty building that had once been a church and sat dormant for nearly two decades. With a thoughtful developer, a tight budget, and a creative team working together, the humble structure was brought back to life as six small studio apartments. Located across from a community garden and a family park near the Willamette River, the project helped dress up a neighborhood corner while adding much-needed housing in the heart of Eugene’s Whiteaker area. It is a great reminder that adaptive reuse does not have to be flashy to be meaningful — sometimes the best projects are the ones that make an old building useful again.
